Earth Day!

Tomorrow is the day that our Tree Huggers take control of our thoughts! The official Earth Day is a day to get out and plant a tree, help the planet, and keep the world green! I hope that everyone has something planned to make the world one step closer to being a much cleaner place! For me, tomorrow will be rainy! How else can you conserve water? Not use it to water your lawn!

Some ideas for Earth Day:
  • Plant a tree
  • Recycle a bunch of items
  • Change your light bulbs to more energy efficient ones
  • Clean up the local park
  • Stay outside all day
  • Promote a cleaner environment and join an environmentally aware club

Enjoy your Earth Day and make a change for the better!

The World I Knew by Jordin Sparks

This song really reminds me of how we have a chance to help make a difference in our world. By the year 2033, we may be suffering from incredible forces of nature that we wouldn't be able to survive. This songs makes you feel like that you should go out and help do something to help change the world to restore it to the way it once was. With Earth Day coming up very soon, this song helps to remind us to find something to do on Earth Day to make our impact on the world in a positive way. The song is from the Disneynature's African Cats. I thought that the video was very nice and inspirational, and I hope it touches you like it has touched me.

March 26

Do any of you know what day today is? I'll give you a hint. This blog is partially based off of it. It's Earth Hour if you still couldn't figure that out! Earth Hour has been celebrated by millions of people making the pledge to help make our world a better place. This year, let's see how many can take the pledge to turn off all power for a full hour! Earth Hour is a day where you shut down all power for one full hour! Can you do it to save the Earth?

Google Buzz

www.One big site that I want to let you know about is the Google Buzz. Now, many people have signed up for Gmail and it has proved to be a good email site. In the past few years, they added a gadget called Google Buzz. This was their attempt at the Facebook-like program. I think it worked; the idea is solid. Gmail is already an email provider. Instead of having to use an existing email to make an account, you just use your regular email account. I recently realized how much Google Buzz is like Facebook. Buzz is a program that allows you to post what you are thinking (like the walls on Facebook) and your status. You can choose to follow friends and family, too. Following them is basically your "Friending someone". If you don't want them to follow you, you simply hit the block button. You automatically get the posts that they have on their "Buzz Walls" onto your "Buzz Wall". For the instant chatting that Facebook provides, Gmail offers that already as part of the email program. So, if you have your friend added onto your chat list, you can see when they are on for face to face chats or just regular chats. You can even add sites, like this blog, to get automatic updates on when a new post is posted! The posts are automatically added to your "Wall". You can choose to get an email notification to your inbox, or just have it show up as the number of how many new posts or comments you have on your wall next to the gadget symbol. The only difference between Google Buzz and Facebook that is really obvious to me? You can't use a different email service to sign up for it. You have to have a Gmail account. And there isn't nearly as many ads! I would definitely check it out for yourself!

My new blog is up and running and is into it's second month. I just want to let you all know that you should definitely check it out because this is where you will find a lot of up and coming stars that will most likely start to be on radios you listen to! An example is Jessie J! I reported on her before her big debut hit the radios. If you want to be ahead of the rest of the pack, head on over and tell me how I am doing!

Big Chain Reactions

Water is very important, as many of us know, but we are running out of water usable to humans. With the rapid increase of glacier melting, much of our Earth's natural frozen water is being dumped right into the salt water, mixing and becoming unusable. What will happen? Well, let's do a chain reaction.
Earth is warming--->
Glaciers are melting--->
Frozen fresh water becoming salt water--->
Sea levels rise--->
More people have to move away from the shores--->
Cities become ever increasingly full--->
Need for more living area increases--->
Area for food to be produced increases--->
Area needed to produce food decreases (more living area needed leads to less food area)--->
Many more people will start to starve--->
Struggle to stay alive--->
Governments are being overwhelmed--->
Easier for terrorists to attack without being caught--->
Ends with CHAOS!
Just a little warning for our future.
