www.One big site that I want to let you know about is the Google Buzz. Now, many people have signed up for Gmail and it has proved to be a good email site. In the past few years, they added a gadget called Google Buzz. This was their attempt at the Facebook-like program. I think it worked; the idea is solid. Gmail is already an email provider. Instead of having to use an existing email to make an account, you just use your regular email account. I recently realized how much Google Buzz is like Facebook. Buzz is a program that allows you to post what you are thinking (like the walls on Facebook) and your status. You can choose to follow friends and family, too. Following them is basically your "Friending someone". If you don't want them to follow you, you simply hit the block button. You automatically get the posts that they have on their "Buzz Walls" onto your "Buzz Wall". For the instant chatting that Facebook provides, Gmail offers that already as part of the email program. So, if you have your friend added onto your chat list, you can see when they are on for face to face chats or just regular chats. You can even add sites, like this blog, to get automatic updates on when a new post is posted! The posts are automatically added to your "Wall". You can choose to get an email notification to your inbox, or just have it show up as the number of how many new posts or comments you have on your wall next to the gadget symbol. The only difference between Google Buzz and Facebook that is really obvious to me? You can't use a different email service to sign up for it. You have to have a Gmail account. And there isn't nearly as many ads! I would definitely check it out for yourself!
